PLAY 5 - Pelada, Tati au miel

Cinquième Salle September 10, 2020

From September 8 to 10, the Play series' five double programs carve out space for experimentation inside Place des Arts’ Cinquième Salle. Play highlights the exploratory, visceral and playful character of contemporary artists in digital art, audiovisual creation, and electronic music.

Pelada — Estímulo LIVE Canadian Premiere

Combining acidic basslines, dembow, and a sonic assortment of rave synths strong enough to push your eyeballs into the back of your head, Pelada’s sound is elevated by a punk spirit and raw, urgent anti-capitalist lyrics. Imminently danceable, this is culturally aware, urgently political body music.

Tati au Miel LIVE

Tati au Miel's is a multidisciplinary artist—DJ/producer, fashion designer, and performance artist—whose art transcends typical experimentation, through a deconstructed approach that challenges, transforms, and toys with expectations. Their music is not bound to a single genre; they use techno, punk, and industrial, and express their fluidity.
