Place des Arts Suspends Activities Until further notice. Learn more

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In accordance with government directives, our performance halls will be closed until further notice. However, all indoor public spaces at Place des Arts are once again accessible through all of the building’s entrances from Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Urbain streets, as well as from the Place-des-Arts metro station.

Thus, it is now possible to use all foot traffic areas to get to Complexe Desjardins, as well as to the Van Houtte café and to the Archambault store, two businesses located within Place des Arts that are now once again open to the public. The Place des Arts parking lot is also open to the public.

Health and safety measures have been implemented to comply with established Public Health guidelines. Hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed by each entrance, and guideposts and directional arrows have been put in place on the floors to facilitate the movements of passersby while practicing physical distancing.

We look forward to being able to once again welcome you entirely in person to Place des Arts. In the meantime, we would like to stay in contact and provide you with the opportunity to keep in touch with our artists.

We invite you to “virtually” take in a variety of artistic works by accessing the content on our daily newsletter and on our Facebook page.

New series : The Hidden Stage (La scène cachée – in French only)

Did you know?  Place des Arts has a hidden stage!  It wanders from living room to living room, from bedroom to bedroom and from balcony to balcony in order that confined artists be able to share their talents with us – just as they would in one of Place des Arts’ performance halls.

Feel-good performances (Des performances qui font du bien – in French only)

Relive special performances by artists who have visited us at Place des Arts.

For young people (Pour les jeunes – in French only)

Si j’avais un tech is a web series produced by Place des Arts and starring Mehdi Bousaidan, Marianne Verville and Jean-Carl Boucher.  Learn about the professions of the “behind-the-scenes” world along with your children (ages 10-18)!
