The author interpret Véronique Soufflet spent many long and familiar times in Lebanon and Syria that gave her the compelling desire to build invisible bridges with melodies resonating between the Orient and the Occident… and to open beyond all borders the horizons to all those living in exile who set their heart upon the homeland or to pick up the lost fragments of their childhood. She sings as she writes; with words flowing from the ink of her pen, flaming and vibrant and with a voice of intense emotions. Véronique Soufflet belongs to one of those artists who bring the heartbeat of a world to our ears. A journey captured by her words, her voice and the music of the great composer and pianist Jean-Luc Kandyoti.
