At the time of its creation, the success of Brahms’ Symphony no. 3 could be felt all the way to America. Even while it evokes a whole range of feelings, it is the heroism emerging from the work that makes it so stirring. World-renowned soloist Veronika Eberle completes the program with Dvořák’s Violin Concerto, a work invested with rich Slavic sonorities.
