There’s no one better than French conductor Nathalie Stutzmann to lead the OM in this season’s all-Tchaikovsky event. On the program, one of the greatest violin concertos in the repertoire, the delightful “Polonaise” from Eugene Onegin and an emotional journey with the “Pathétique” Symphony.

Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 opens with a somber bassoon playing an inspired, stirring melody that sets the tone for the piece, also known as the “Pathétique” Symphony. Violinist Daniel Lozakovich, one of the youngest musicians signed to the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon label, will perform the touching and intoxicating melodies of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto.
