Quartiers Danses Festival - Closing night

Cinquième salle September 15, 2018

Bhinna Vinyasa - Jayachandran Palazhy, Bangalore (India), Montreal premiere
Jayachandran Palazhy is an established choreographer in India and has collaborated with numerous choreographers throughout the world. He founded the Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, a dance biennial in Bangalore, for which he is Artistic Director. His creations sublimate women. In this digital-arts and dance piece, 10 performers invite us on a metaphysical journey engendered by internal and external forces. The voyage leads to life changes, both individual and collective. Bhinna Vinyasa mixes imaginary and reality to create an immersive experience where digital arts, Indian dance traditions, and contemporary dance are interwoven.
