Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Place des Arts has suspended all shows and other public activities until further notice. However, beyond this suspension of activities, certain productions have been obliged to postpone or cancel their shows. Festival de Lanaudière has had to cancel its 2020 season. Ticket holders will be contacted by email about the procedures to be implemented.

To hear the music of Daphnis et Chloé is to surrender to a world of shimmering colours and suave exoticism, to enter the mysteries of a legendary Greece of which only Ravel held the key. It is also a journey through time, to Paris at the beginning of the 20th century, the city of the Ballets Russes and their irresistible ebullience. The extraordinary violinist Christian Tetzlaff is back in Lanaudière for this penultimate concert with Kent Nagano at the helm of the OSM, offering his vision of Alban Berg’s definitive musical testament, the Violin Concerto “To the Memory of an Angel.”

PROGRAM:
Richard Wagner Parsifal, Prelude to Act I
Alban BERG Violin Concerto “To the Memory of an Angel”
Maurice RAVEL Daphnis et Chloé, complete ballet
