Acclaimed in all corners of the world, Russian conductor Valery Gergiev is in Montreal to conduct a pinnacle of the symphonic repertoire: Bruckner’s Symphony no. 9. Violinist Kristóf Baráti, recognized for his extraordinary musical gifts, makes his Montreal debut performing Mendelssohn’s famous Violin Concerto, op. 64, one of the greatest concertos of the Romantic era.
