Public Transportation

Place des Arts is directly connected to the Place-des-Arts metro station, as well as being close to numerous bus routes and easily accessible on foot, by bike and BIXI bike, and by taxi.

By Metro 

From Place-des-Arts station, you can directly access all of Place des Arts’ venues without having to go outdoors.

Limited access: Elevators are operational at Bleury station.

Construction Notice: The corridor from the Place-des-Arts metro station to our complex is partially open as the STM completes its work. However, for the moment, the corridor is not yet adapted for people with reduced mobility.

By Bus

Place des Arts is on the 15, 55, 80, 125, 129 and 435 (Express) bus lines.

By Taxi

Two taxi stands are located close by the Place des Arts area:

  • At the entrance located at 1600 rue Saint-Urbain, on the west side, near the Maison symphonique and the Salon urbain, there is a taxi stand;
  • At the entrance located at 175 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest, taxis park across from Complexe Desjardins, near the exit from Théâtre Maisonneuve, Théâtre Jean-Duceppe and the Espace culturel Georges-Émile-Lapalme.

By Bike of BIXI Bike

Bike racks are located near the main entrance of the Maison symphonique (1600 rue Saint-Urbain).

The closest BIXI station is located at the corner of De Maisonneuve and De Bleury. To learn about other stations near Place des Arts, visit the interactive map of BIXI stations.

The Main Street-Level Entrances

RUE SAINTE-CATHERINE - 175 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest

This entrance provides access to Théâtre Maisonneuve, Théâtre Jean-Duceppe, Cinquième Salle, Salle Claude-Léveillée and the Espace culturel Georges-Émile-Lapalme, as well as to the exhibition room, the Place Deschamps wine bar, the boutiques and the Musée d’art contemporain. This entrance is perfect if you’re on foot or coming by bike or taxi.

RUE SAINT-URBAIN - 1600 rue Saint-Urbain

This entrance provides access to the Maison symphonique, Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, the Salon urbain, the box office, Cinquième Salle, Seingalt restaurant and Café Van Houtte. This entrance is perfect if you’re on foot or coming by bike or taxi.
