Discover the world’s finest lyrical singers at the Concours musical international de Montréal. From May 28 to June 7, up to 40 singers showcase their talent and vie for $260,000 in prizes and awards at this prestigious competition. Hear them in the Aria semifinals on June 4 and 5 and in the Grand finale on June 7, with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. Prizes in both Aria and Art Song categories will be announced and awarded shortly after the last performance on June 7.
The CMIM seeks to discover and support exceptional young singers, violinists and pianists from around the world while raising awareness for classical music. The CMIM is the only international competition in North America to be held annually, presenting three disciplines in a three-year rotation. Since its first edition dedicated to voice in 2002, 3,000 hopefuls have entered the competition and some 450 have performed in Montreal.
