While Schubert’s Symphony no. 2 endorses the Viennese style developed by Mozart and Haydn, his Symphony no. 4 evinces a more monumental, though personal one. Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos no. 10, performed by Angela Hewitt and Paul Lewis, completes the programme.
