As part of the international tour celebrating their 90th anniversary, The Red Army Choir is coming to Montreal to perform seven shows. For these Christmas concerts, Isabelle Boulay will join her heart and voice for four songs, accompanied by the internationally famous vocal ensemble.
For these priceless events, The Red Army Choir renew with tradition by presenting magic filled evenings where Christmas carols, interpreted in Russian, French and English will mingle with the most famous works of their rich repertoire.
The Maison Symphonique will be hosting 75 artists, choir members and musicians. Note the presence of the legendary Valery Gavva, member of the Choir for nearly 30 years, and the young Maksim Maklakov, multiple times award winner in international talent competitions. Gennadiy Sachenyuk, aka «The Maestro» and artistic director, will lead the choir, seconded by Nikolaï Kirilov.
Although the Choir is at the dawn of becoming a centenary, it has never been so modern. One tour after another, leading the choir around the world. Among the stops of this tour, which has nearly 200 performances, are France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey, Romania, China and to end the tour on a high note, in Canada, which Montreal is the only city to present this event.
