Danse Lhasa Danse, an ode to life

Théâtre Maisonneuve February 6 and May 17, 2021

Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Place des Arts has suspended all shows and other public activities until further notice. However, beyond this suspension of activities, certain productions have been obliged to postpone or cancel their shows. The Danse Lhasa Danse, an ode to life show — scheduled on November 19, 2020 — have been postponed until May 17, 2021. Please keep your ticket(s), which will be honoured at the venue entrance.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Lhasa de Sela’s death and the 30th anniversary of PPS Danse, artistic director Pierre-Paul Savoie revisits this production warmly welcomed in 2011,  when it was created.

In this show, dance, words and music melt into one voice to echo the work of the lady who urges us to celebrate life in all serenity. Five musicians, three singers and seven dancers magnify Lhasa's words and music and transcend her soul.
