Youth Programming

Youth programming at Place des Arts, presented annually for over 40 years, aims to welcome families at every budget. Circus, theatre, music, puppetry, dance and storytelling: Place des Arts also offers plenty of free activities and shows for the whole family!

For several decades, children’s shows have had a special place at Montréal’s Place des Arts, and are presented in many of our venues as well as in the Espace culturel Georges-Émile-Lapalme.

PLACE DES ARTS JUNIOR SERIES: LOW-COST FUN FOR KIDS!

Thanks to the financial support of the Fondation de la Place des Arts, more than twenty shows are offered at minimal cost each year for kids aged 3 to 12 as part of the Place des Arts junior show series. These shows are Place des Arts’ way of putting into practice our cultural mission to make the performance arts accessible and interesting to young audiences.

The very popular Sons et brioches from the Place des Arts junior series, held at the Piano Nobile in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, serves muffins, croissants, coffee and juice to kids and parents before each performance.
