In October every year, the Festival du nouveau cinéma de Montréal supports and screens cinematic works that are quirky, pointed, bold and innovative for all to enjoy. It provides a platform for artists and filmmakers, and promotes and recognizes their originality and diversity.
For over 40 years now, cinephiles have come to get their fill of new films and documentaries made in Québec and internationally, including both features and shorts.
The Festival du nouveau cinéma also positions itself as a pioneer in presenting video works, proving its commitment to the future and to new technologies. Under the aegis of its founders, Claude Chamberlan and Dimitri Eipidès, the festival has never compromised on its daring and flair.
