Place des Arts presents Lizt Alfonso Danza Cuba at salle Wilfrid-Pelletier on Friday, February 13, 2015
TWENTY DANCERS AND EIGHT MUSICIANS ON STAGE!
CUBA — ITS MUSIC, SONG AND DANCE FROM THE 1950S TO TODAY. CHA-CHA-CHA, MAMBO, RUMBA, CONGA OR BOLERO: EACH HAS A RHYTHM THAT LIFTS THE HEART AND FILLS THE SOUL!
The renowned LIZT ALFONSO DANZA CUBA company returns to Montréal on Friday, February 13, 2015, to present its latest show, Amigas, at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier. Blending the ardour of flamenco, the elegance of ballet and the frenzy of Cuban dance, this grand production fuses dance, song and music in an evening that is sensual, extraordinary and bewitching.
On stage will be no fewer than 20 dancers, virtuosos of movement and precision “with amazing unanimity” (New York Times) and “sheer technical finesse” (Chicago Sun-Times), as well as several singers and a band of eight musicians. What better than the heat of a Latin flame this winter! What better than Cuba — dancing, singing, alive!
