Introduce Your Students to the Rhythmic and Engaged Art of Hip-Hop!
This introduction to the rhythmic and coded writing of hip-hop will teach young people how to deliver a text orally, while playing with the words and rhythms that define this art form.
About the Artist
Waahli, co-founder of the hip-hop group Nomadic Massive, is a Montreal-based artist of Haitian descent. His hip-hop-influenced music has a distinct Afro-Caribbean touch. His songs take us on a journey around the world, with ancestral and powerful rhythms. His music is accompanied by engaged lyrics that reflect his past and present reality. He sings in English, French, and Haitian Creole.

Workshop
A workshop, led by an artist-mediator, is included with the performance, and additional workshops can be added during the reservation process.
- Dates: Between December 2, 2024, and April 30, 2025
- Duration: 75 minutes
- Maximum Participants: 40 students
- Location: In-class (except for schools outside Greater Montreal)
- Additional Workshop Fee: $200 each
