Founded in 1998, the Danse Danse series builds an exceptional contemporary dance season each year, with works from all over the world. This series of shows makes the international contemporary dance repertoire accessible, while supporting Canadian companies in creating new works.
Over many seasons, Montréal audiences have attended a variety of shows featuring supremely talented choreographers and reputed companies: Nederlands Dans Theater, the Batsheva Dance Company, the Hofesh Shechter Company, the Akram Khan Company, Marie Chouinard, José Navas, Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal (BJM) and many more.
Danse Danse shows are given at Théâtre Maisonneuve, in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier and in Cinquième Salle at Place des Arts de Montréal.
