The JOAT Festival international de street dance takes Montréal’s Quartier des spectacles by storm for a week of performances and activities for audiences of all ages. Festive, vibrant, electrifying!
Handy Yacinthe—a major figure in Quebec and international street dance—spearheaded the festival, joined in 2019 by co-director Elie-Anne Ross.
This must-see event brings together over 250 artists who immerse spectators in the world of street dance: high-level battles, breaking, hip hop, popping, krump, beatmakers, youth battles, introductory street dance workshops, master classes and exhibitions. It’s an opportunity to discover the African-American dances that have become popular all over the world!
