Did you know that Place des Arts is one of the largest complexes of its kind in the world? Standing proudly with its 8,000 seats in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles, it is truly a trailblazer.
A lively, inclusive and cosmopolitan gathering place, it brings together 6 performance halls with distinctive atmospheres perfectly suited to the productions that grace them. These exceptional venues are complemented by the Musée d'art contemporain and the Amphithéâtre Fernand-Lindsay in Joliette. Discover our iconic venues and spaces.
A rich public program, created with our creative partners
Making art and culture accessible to all. That's what drives us. And the same applies to our collaborators, who work with us to create a multitude of free activities in our indoor and outdoor public spaces, which are animated year-round.
Public art circuits in collaboration with Partenariat du Quartier. Musical shows and 5 à 7 events featuring our Montreal university graduates. Visual and digital art installations presented in collaboration with organizations such as PHI, Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, Montréal en histoire and Mutek.

Artistic and cultural education at the heart of our communities
Art is good for you. For some, it enables discovery, personal growth, and wonder. For others, it becomes almost therapeutic. It is with this desire to create a positive impact in our communities that we have developed initiatives that open the door to the arts to as many people as possible.
Designed for high school students and those with special needs, we offer a myriad of cultural and educational activities led by inspiring instructors. Several free workshops for children, families, members of cultural communities and all Montrealers are also offered.
