Nostra Dea : 2 by Maya Orchin & Stefanie Nelson
Nostra Dea : 2 is a contemporary dance duet inspired by Massimo Bontempelli's play Nostra Dea (1925). The piece explores the different facets of the character of Dea, an agent of chaos who embodies the unpredictability and changing nature of identity. The soundtrack blends electronic rhythms, orchestral arrangements and ambient sounds to reflect Dea's unpredictable and enigmatic presence.
The One(s) Who Never Lived - excerpt B by Jason Martin, in collaboration with Rebecca Margolick
In this performance, two individuals explore the balance between order and spontaneity, creation and destruction. Their synchronized precision movements evoke the regularity of modern industrial processes and assembly-line work, while underlining their own duality. They act as channels, representing the complex interplay between attraction and repulsion, indifference and the need for emotional connection and vitality.
