The Requiem de Mozart — scheduled on February 19, 2022 — has been postponed until January 21, 2023. Ticket holders are asked keep their ticket(s), which will be honoured at the venue entrance.
The Chœur classique de Montréal is dedicating this concert to the victims of COVID-19 and their families.
For the program: two beautiful works for a poignant tribute. Mozart's unfinished Requiem, completed by others such that the parts of this exceptional work that were already written would not be forgotten, will be interpreted with Robert D. Levin's version. It will be preceded by Haydn's Harmoniemesse, the last of his fourteen masses, which takes its name from the orchestration for wind instruments only.
Sure to be a touching moment created by the choir, soloists, and orchestra in tribute to all the lives, like those of young Mozart and not so young Haydn, that were prematurely cut short in the last two years.
