A magical forest, twilight mist and mythical creatures are summoned for this unusual concert where the OSM presents Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in a staged adaptation alternating music and excerpts from Shakespeare’s play. Completing this concert conducted by Rafael Payare and featuring the OSM Chorus is a masterpiece of French Impressionism: Debussy’s enchanting Nocturnes

Debussy, Nocturnes (25 min.)*
Mendelssohn, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, incidental music, op. 61 (75 min.)
Excerpts from Shakespeare's text in French. Translation by Michelle Allen
