PLAY 2 - Anne-F Jacques, Alexis Langevin-Tétrault

Cinquième Salle September 9, 2020

From September 8 to 10, the Play series' five double programs carve out space for experimentation inside Place des Arts’ Cinquième Salle. Play highlights the exploratory, visceral and playful character of contemporary artists in digital art, audiovisual creation, and electronic music.

Anne-F Jacques — Quelque chose qui accroche LIVE

Small events and accidents, extremely amplified: Something gone wrong is a performance that follows and provokes interactions between rocks, motors, pipes, seaweed and other materials, assembled together in precarious moving contraptions.

Alexis Langevin-Tétrault — Hypercube (one) LIVE A/V World premiere

In his work, composer and stage artist Alexis Langevin-Tétrault's uses one-of-a-kind, self-made devices to unleash physical performances that are kinetic, highly visual, and always musical. As part of a world premiere, he will present Hypercube (one), a 22-minute live audiovisual performance that will push the limits of his approach.
