Fate knocks at the door in this high-calibre concert. The Orchestre Philharmonique du Québec embarks on an exhilarating journey with pianist Olga Kern, Gold Medallist of the prestigious Van Cliburn Competition, in Rachmaninoff’s stratospheric Variations on a Theme of Paganini, an apex of the late-Romantic style, composed in 1934. Alexandre Da Costa also leads the Orchestra in another monumental work: Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony, named “Fate Symphony” by the composer. With these summits of Romanticism, the OPQ takes audiences on a transformative journey in tranquil preparation for spring’s arrival!
