Olga Kern and the Summit of Rachmaninoff

The Orchestre Philharmonique du Québec embarks on an exhilarating journey with pianist Olga Kern, Gold Medallist of the prestigious Van Cliburn Competition, in Rachmaninoff’s stratospheric Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, an apex of the late-Romantic style, composed in 1934. 

Alexandre Da Costa also leads the Orchestra in another monumental work: Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony, named “Fate Symphony” by the composer. With these summits of Romanticism, the OPQ takes audiences on a transformative journey in tranquil preparation for spring’s arrival!
