The protest album The Blue Notebooks was composed during the US intervention in Iraq in 2003; in response to the bomb attacks in London, Infra followed suit in 2008. Meditations on our society and its violence, the futility of armed conflict and the absurdity of the political power’s decisions, these two works echo the characteristic minimalism and complex harmonies that have made the reputation of this influential and virtuoso electroacoustic composer. Mesmerizing.
