With Le père Noël est une ordure, Monarque strikes once again by bringing a great French classic to life on stage with, as a bonus, an exceptional cast made up of the remarkable Jean-Michel Anctil, Josée Deschênes, Mario Jean, Brigitte Lafleur, Pierre-François Legendre and Claude Prégent in a production by André Robitaille.
In the premises of SOS Détresse Amitié, nothing goes right on Christmas Eve when Pierre and Thérèse, the two volunteers on duty, receive a visit from characters, each more bizarre than the last. Between the Bulgarian neighbour determined to have his disgusting recipes tasted, the cross-dresser in the middle of an existential crisis, the dysfunctional seedy couple and the repeated calls from an obsessed person, the magic of Christmas bursts into a thousand pieces where disenchantment and comedy intersect.
