As part of the launch of the 6th edition of Festithéâtrecréole, you will discover an excerpt of Bobomasouri, a play written by the eminent Haitian writer Frakétienne.
This play - an ongoing creation - was concocted by the Compagnie Théâtre Créole, which has been promoting Afro-Descendant artists and culture in Canada for the past twelve years.
Bobomasouri, an absurd play that gives free rein to the three characters Ti lami, Gongon, and Zikap, to push their dreams in the most imaginative way possible. They struggle to preserve their cultural heritage while navigating an ever-changing world. The play also explores identity, culture, and social struggles.
Bobomasouri, a rich and poetic work that reflects the depth and complexity of the author's thinking.
