The world-renowned trumpeter Wynton Marsalis will be performing at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal in the summer of 2025.
Wynton Marsalis, Managing and Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center, began his musical training at the age of 12 and has since become an iconic artist, seamlessly blending jazz and classical music. A nine-time GRAMMY Award winner and the first jazz composer to receive the Pulitzer Prize for Music, he has recorded over 1,500 pieces and created monumental works such as All Rise, along with numerous ballets, symphonies, and suites. In addition to being a prolific composer, Marsalis is a dedicated educator, the founding director of jazz studies at Juilliard, and a cornerstone of Jazz at Lincoln Center, where he champions the universal values of jazz: creativity, collaboration, and resilience in the face of adversity.
