Montréal hosts one of the greatest cimbalom virtuosos, the instrument also known as the “gypsy piano” that has inspired and accompanied so many people of the diaspora. Alexandru Sura provides a vivid depiction of the cimbalom, so as to help us understand its origin and usage. It’s the sole chance to learn about this rare and difficult to master instrument! This illustrated talk will be hosted by Frédéric Lambert.
