Following the resounding success of the first Holiday Melodies concert in 2022, it has become one of the OM’s most anticipated events.
More than just a Christmas show, this concert is a meeting point of genres and cultures. The trio of Taurey Butler, Mélissa Bédard, and Kim Richardson adds a jazzy touch; Michel Rivard and violinist David Boulanger bring a traditional Québécois flavor; while soprano Elisabeth St-Gelais bridges her Innu heritage with the classical tradition carried by the Choir and the Orchestre Métropolitain. Under the brilliant direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Antoine Gratton’s arrangements weave together the memories of these diverse musical worlds, showcasing the unique essence of Québécois culture.
