Roman Zavada sets up a true piano laboratory in the forest. Over the seasons, the sounds undergo a metamorphosis and inspire the essence of a rich and unique musical adventure. A connection is formed between the past and the present, between nature and modernity. Zavada reveals himself and immerses us directly into a fascinating universe, tracing back in time to the first cassette recordings of his childhood.
The Ukrainian-Québécois pianist-composer already has 20 years of experience as an independent artist. He stands out for his unique artistic approach, notably with the project Résonances Boréales. Installed with a piano in the heart of the Canadian Great North's boreal forest, he drew inspiration from the movement of the legendary northern lights. This project earned him a nomination at the ADISQ gala in 2016.
