Focus Brazil-Quebec: Part 2

Cinquième Salle September 8, 2024

An evening in the company of talented choreographers and dancers Jane Mappin and Marcia Milhazes. Their works invite us to reflect on the human condition, relationships and the way our memory forgets, but not our bodies.

GUARDE-ME (Save-me) by Marcia Milhazes

GUARDE-ME (Save-me) is the second part of a trilogy inspired by love letters, delving into the emotional world of a couple. With no clear boundaries between them, they seek to blur the lines between the real world and the fantasy of the senses. It's an exploration of human bonds, a meditation on the feeling of invisibility.

Fleeting moments: studies in being human by Jane Mappin

Fleeting moments: studies in being human explores the shifting landscape of memory: how our minds filter personal recollections and our imaginations colour lived experiences, but our bodies never forget. Two performers from different generations reflect on their individual narratives in an authentic rendering of what it means to be human.
