The reputation of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, a prince among Europe’s orchestras, is transcends frontiers: having won numerous awards for one of the most extensive discographies of our time, the celebrated German orchestra offers us a kaleidoscopic panorama of Bach’s universe. In a North American exclusive, they perform his famous Brandenburg Concertos, as well as the music of his equally famous contemporary, Antonio Vivaldi. This imaginary encounter between the two giants takes place over the course of two concerts, marking the orchestra’s return to Quebec after a 10-year absence.
