On this evening of country dancing, the infectious energy of Club Bolo will get you singing, dancing, and maybe even shouting “Yee Haw!” Club members will begin the evening by teaching you some country dance and line dance steps in an introductory lesson. You can then practice your new (or old) steps while dancing to well-known country songs performed by the Billy Country Band, ranging from vintage classics to today’s hits and French-language country songs. The DJ LeMonk will keep you out on the dancefloor until 10 pm.
New this year: drinks and snacks will be available at the Festival’s bars, as soon as the site opens at 6 pm. The animation and the initiation class start at 7 pm.
The L’Art en soi Festival features six festive “Soirées dansantes”—dance evenings—with introductory lessons on various styles of dance, live music, and DJs: samba, disco and waacking, Guinean dance, Bollywood, Latin dance, and country. Five “Midis dansés”—lunchtime dances—are also on the program to get you moving at midday! It’s a date, on the Esplanade at Place des Arts, from September 15 to 24!
