Following a successful first edition, the Carte blanche colorée par series, created by Monique Giroux and produced by Place des Arts, returns to the Cinquième Salle for a second chapter this fall.
A true music enthusiast, the mastermind behind several splendid symphonic arrangements, Antoine Gratton, whose reputation precedes him, will shape the second “carte blanche” in the series to his liking. He is being given a free hand to concoct a unique concert, using an array of his personal favourite shimmering colours!
Sticking to a few guidelines laid out by Monique Giroux—bring along an artist friend, someone close, perform a song of jealousy that he would have wanted to write, feature a noteworthy LP cut…—, what could this brilliant, resplendent, daring, eclectic musician have in store for us? We’ll find out on November 14, on an evening that promises to reveal his full range of colours!
