Under the direction of Jean-Nicolas Trottier, the Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal (ONJ) is delighted to welcome the fabulous singer Caity Gyorgy in a second Opus drawn from the Great American Songbook repertoire, this time by Irving Berlin in original arrangements for Ella Fitzgerald.
Caity Gyorgy is a two-time JUNO Award-winning Canadian singer known for her bebop and swing music. She has performed in jazz clubs and festivals in Canada, Mexico, Japan and the United States. She has worked and recorded with musicians such as Christine Jensen, Pat LaBarbera, Jocelyn Gould, Ira Coleman, Bryn Roberts and Joe LaBarbera, to name but a few.
