Nicknamed “superstar” and “firecracker,” Aiza is undeniably on the rise in Montreal’s R&B/Soul scene. After releasing the much anticipated music video for her first single Criminal, she spent the past year collaborating with an impressive list of musical acts. She is featured on the single See What I Mean by electro group Beat Market, recently touring with them in Los Angeles, California. She has also performed alongside Guadeloupean jazz singer Malika Tirolien, including concerts at Montreal’s International Jazz Festival and Francofolies, the Îlo Jazz Festival in Guadeloupe, the Terre de Blues Festival in Marie-Galante, and the Havana World Music Festival in Cuba. In addition to local performances in Montreal, Aiza’s solo project has brought her to Le P’tit Fest du Nord in Saint-Jerôme and on tour in Abidjan, Ivory Coast this past fall.

Alongside her music career, Aiza is a two-time META award winning, bilingual actress as well as the recipient of the Black Theatre Workshop’s 2017 Gloria Mitchell-Aleong award for artistic excellence in the performing arts. She has played the lead role in the theatre production Binti’s Journey, touring Montreal, Toronto, and the Canadian Arctic. Her most recent on-screen roles include Camille Petrelli on Crackle’s The Art of More, lawyer Nadine Collard on Radio-Canada’s Ruptures, Taylor Livingston in Freeform’s The Bold Type and Officer Roxanne Dionne - one of the main characters on Bravo Network’s Emmy-nominated and Canadian Screen Award-winning TV series 19-2.

Aiza hopes that her artistic journey will help inspire people to pursue their dreams and stay true to their passions.
