Renowned for their electrifying live shows, the Lebanese quartet re-shaping for over a decade the sound of Levantine music, through their signature fusion of rock influences with local musical heritage.

Formed in 2011 by Anthony Adonis on vocals and keyboards, and Joey Abou Jawdeh on guitar. The pair, who met during their university days studying architecture together, were later joined by Nicola Hakim on drums and Gio Fikany on bass guitar.

Alongside Autostrad, Mashrou’ Leila and Aziz Maraka, Adonis is a pioneer of Arabic indie-rock, and, as such, has headlined leading festivals in the region, including the Baalbeck International Festival and the Carthage International Festival.

Written in the Lebanese dialect, and drawing on diverse socio-cultural themes, many of Adonis’ songs, such as Yeb’a Enna, Shayef, and Al Khafif, have amassed millions of streams, and become anthems across the Arabic-speaking world.

Adonis has, so far, released six studio albums and performed sold-out shows around the world.
