Place des Arts will be celebrating its 60th anniversary on September 21st! To mark the occasion in style, join us at the TEMPÉO Dance and Music Festival for a journey through time back to 1963. The Swing ‘n’ Rhythm troupe, led by professional dancer Myriam Tétreault, will be here to teach you the sparkling, unique, dynamic, and colourful steps of rockabilly dancing!
Next, the Baby Boomer’s Band will take to the stage to perform classics that will get everyone singing and dancing along… followed by DJ Lucky Luc. A nostalgic trip—guaranteed!
The site opens at 6:30 pm with the activity and introductory lesson beginning at 7 pm, followed by live music and a DJ starting at 8 pm.
The TEMPÉO Dance and Music Festival consists of six festive dance evenings, each including an introduction to a particular dance style—Bollywood, Haitian, disco, 1960s, Latin, and Indigenous—accompanied by live music and DJs. Join in and get moving, on the Esplanade at Place des Arts, from September 14 to 16 and September 21 to 23!
