A Pink Floyd symphonic rock concert benefitting cancer research.
The Institut du cancer de Montréal will hold its 12th annual Concert contre le Cancer with a tribute to Pink Floyd in a symphonic rock concert, in collaboration with the Classica Festival. With the participation of Lulu Hughes, this event will raise funds for the Reverse the Brain Drain program, created by the Institut du cancer de Montréal in 2007. This program aims to bring bright researchers in oncology back to our province, allowing for better scientific advancements in Quebec, and leading to the development of new treatments.
The full Dark Side of the Moon album will be interpreted by a choir of 60 singers, 30 symphonic musicians, accompanied by 5 band musicians and a soloist under the direction of the Orchestre symphonique du Conservatoire de la Montérégie (OSCM) conductor.
