School program

The Place des Arts School Program has been introducing high school students to the performing arts through artistic collaborations for nearly 10 years.

Bringing High School Students and Performing Arts Together

Thanks to the expertise of artist-mediators, the school program aims to inspire students' engagement, critical thinking, and autonomy by offering a unique creative process.

For teachers eager to deepen the connection between culture and education through aesthetic education.

Aesthetic education takes center stage in cultural mediation

This approach aims to stimulate artistic sensitivity by fostering a deeper connection with oneself and with others.

Information and Registration Dates

  • Choose 1 performance associated with 1 artistic discipline.

    Duration: 60 minutes without intermission + 30-minute discussion after the performance
    Location: Théâtre Maisonneuve

    October 30, 2024: Deadline to reserve the performance and participate in the aesthetic education training for teachers 

    November 28, 2024: Deadline to reserve the school program (without the training included)

  • One workshop is included with the performance, and additional workshops can be added to enhance the experience.

    Duration: 75 minutes
    Maximum number of students: 40
    Location: In the classroom – except for schools outside Greater Montreal.

    September to November 2024: An email will be sent by Place des Arts to register for the workshop(s) following your performance reservation.

  • Optional and offered free of charge to teachers who have reserved a performance.

    Dates: November 14 and/or 15, 2024
    Duration: 1 or 2 days
    Location: Place des Arts

    October 1, 2024: Deadline to access teacher release
    October 30, 2024: Deadline to reserve at Place des Arts
