President

Michèle Boisvert is Executive Vice-President, Business Outreach at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, which she joined in 2012. An economist by training, she pursued a career in journalism for more than 25 years. She first worked at Radio-Canada and later joined La Presse, where she covered economic news as a reporter, then as an editorialist and as a columnist. In 2007, she was named director of La Presse Affaires, the paper’s business section. In addition to her role at La Presse, Michèle Boisvert delivered a daily economic segment on Radio-Canada radio for seven years, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. Michèle Boisvert has received several awards over the course of her career, including the YMCA’s Woman of Distinction in Communications award in 2009.

Executive Vice-President

Éric Gosselin is a partner in the law firm McCarthy Tétrault and the leader of the Business Law Group for the Québec region. He practices corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, and corporate financing. He is a member of the Ordre des Agronomes du Québec. Very actively involved in the Montréal community, he sits on various committees for charitable organizations working in the community and cultural spheres. Éric Gosselin presently sits on the board of directors of Culture pour tous, for which he acts as chair of the board, and of the Festival TransAmériques. Éric Gosselin was one of the three mentors of Go-C.A. when the program was launched in 2011. He also sits as an external member on the Arts and Philanthropy Committee of the Conseil des Arts de Montréal.

Vice-President

Sandra Chartrand lends her support to several organizations and boards of directors in the artistic and community spheres. She currently sits on the board of directors of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec; she was previously chair of the board of directors of the Orchestre symphonique de Laval, and sat on the board of directors of the Fondation Cité de la Santé de Laval, the CRDI Normand-Laramée, and the Maison des greffés Lina Cyr. She is the president of the Fondation Sandra et Alain Bouchard. She was also involved in organizing fundraising campaigns for such organizations as Centraide of Greater Montréal, the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, Université de Montréal, École Polytechnique, and HEC Montréal.

Vice-President

Hugo Delorme joined Canadian National in 2016 after over 11 years at NATIONAL Public Relations, where he was a partner and director of the Public Affairs group in NATIONAL’s Montréal office. At CN, as Senior Director, Corporate Services, he works closely with the Executive Vice-President, Corporate Services and the Chief Executive Officer of Legal Affairs. In 2009, he founded the Fondation de la Place des Arts’ Young Patrons Committee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from Université de Montréal, as well as a master’s degree in management sciences, with a specialization in marketing, from HEC Montréal. He is part of the 2016 cohort of the McGill-HEC EMBA. He also holds an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Canadian Public Relations Society and is a Chartered Administrator (C.Adm.).

Treasurer

Nancy Wolfe, CPA, CA, is a partner in Assurance Services at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, where she is in charge of the Assurance group serving large enterprises and public companies. Nancy Wolfe is also in charge of planning and coordinating audit engagements, notably in such fields as technologies, retail and wholesale, distribution and financial services. She regularly assists with her clients’ public and private offerings on the Canadian and American markets and supports them in the various phases of their growth.

Members

Marc Blondeau is President and CEO of the Société de la Place des Arts de Montréal. In this capacity, he plays an active role in Montreal’s cultural life, and is a member of the board of directors of the Quartier des spectacles Partnership. He is also a member of several international organizations in the arts and entertainment fields. He was formerly the chair of the board of directors of the National Theatre School of Canada. A well-known figure in the field of media and communications, before joining Place des Arts he held several management positions with Télémédia Communications, Groupe TVA and Rogers Media.

Sylvie Chagnon is closely involved with the management of corporate donations at Lallemand Inc. She is a member of the board of directors of the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation. She was formerly associated with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal as a member of the board of directors and chair of Les Amis des Grands Ballets. She sat on the board of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation and is co-founder of the Serenity Program. She has taken an active part in major fundraising campaigns for these organizations.

Johanne Champoux has always loved art, and sits since 2010 on the Board of the Volunteer Association of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. She was president of the 2013 Museum Ball Steering Committee. The fight against cancer is also a cause dear to her heart and she is involved with the Jewish General Hospital as Honorary Chairwoman of the walk to end Women’s Cancers, and president of a benefit concert event for breast cancer research. Passionate about communications, she pursued a career in publicity and media, notably spending 12 years as director, Media Creativity at Radio-Canada, and 10 years at Réseau TVA.

Sophie Langlois is Executive Vice-President and associate at Reïva with over 20 years of experience in brand management, advertising, and the development of communications plans. Over the years, she has been called upon to manage several major national brands in various markets, notably for Cossette and Rethink Communications. She then worked at Walkiri Marketing where she was Vice President and General Director. She is involved in the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts’ Volunteers Foundation as Treasurer of the Board of Directors.

Normand Laprise C.M., O.Q., is a Relais & Châteaux Grand Chef and co-owner of the well-known Toqué! restaurant—a member of Les Grandes Tables du Monde—and of Brasserie T! in Montréal. Internationally renowned, he redefined gastronomy with his philosophy of praising the product, which has now become highly influential in Québec and Canada. He is the only Canadian to have been named to sit on the International Chefs Advisory Board created by the Institut Paul Bocuse, was made a member of the Order of Canada in 2014, and was named a Knight of the Ordre national du Québec in 2009. He was the only chef from Québec to have been invited to StarChefs.com’s International Chefs Congress in New York in 2010, and is ranked as one of the "101 Québécois au sommet de l’action” (101 foremost Quebecers) as selected by Entreprendre magazine. His generosity has seen him lend his talents to benefit several organizations including the Opéra de Montréal, the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Foundation, the Tel-Jeunes Foundation, the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation through the La Vittoria dinner event, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and La Tablée des Chefs.

Jean Laurin is President and Chief Executive Officer of NKF Devencore. He is Chair of the Board of Directors of Place des Arts, Vice-Chair of the Board of Montréal International, Chair of the boards of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montréal Foundation and Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Foundation and a member of the Executive Committee of the Fondation de l’Université du Québec à Montréal. He is also a member of the Cercle des présidents du Québec.

Raphaël Lescop is a lawyer with Irving Mitchell Kalichman LLP, where he practices commercial law, administrative law (regulated industries law, disciplinary law), municipal law, human rights law, consumer law, and, more generally, general commercial and civil law. Over the course of his studies, he received a number of awards and grants, including the Excellence grant from Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Law. He has published papers and given talks on the problem of SLAPP suits and abuses of process before the courts.

Olivier Perron-Collins is a Partner and Vice-President at BC2 consulting group, which offers services in the field of urban planning. He has some ten years of business management experience, notably with Daniel Arbour & Associés in Montreal and Beijing, SODEM, and Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton. With university training in Quebec and abroad, he has a solid knowledge in the areas of management, finance and economics. Highly active among the younger generation, he is a founding member of Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal’s Young Leaders Committee, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts’ Young Philanthropists’ Circle, and GRIS Montréal’s young members committee.

Nadine Proulx is the Vice-President, Human Resources for the Information Technology, Marketing and Corporate Development sectors at the National Bank of Canada. She has worked for the organization for over 25 years, and her career within the company has combined strong management experience with expertise in organizational transformation. Renowned for her strategic vision and leadership, she has a varied background: sales and operations management, project management and ongoing improvement, strategic planning and organizational development. She holds an MBA from McGill-HEC and a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations from Université de Montréal.

A lawyer by training, Victor Salvaggio is a professional working in the field of real estate development for a firm he co-founded, Lofts MTL, which specializes in the transformation and conversion of commercial and industrial buildings into residential and commercial rental spaces. He received his law degree from Université de Montréal and practiced commercial and corporate law for some ten years for the firms of Stikeman Elliott and Fasken Martineau.

 

Catherine Samson is consulting director, Marketing, Business Outreach at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec since 2013. In this capacity, she is responsible for business development and communication strategies for all entrepreneurial initiatives of the organization. Throughout her career, she used her expertise as a marketing specialized manager at the Banque Laurentienne and within L’Équipe Spectra. Passionate with drama and involved in the cultural community, she is on the board of directors of Théâtre Le Clou since 2011 and is president of the Fondation de la Place des Arts’ Young Patrons Committee since 2015. She holds a bachelor in literature and an MBA from Université de Laval.

Louise Sicuro, C.M., is President and CEO of Culture pour tous, a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that arts and culture are recognized as essential aspects of individual and collective development by promoting citizen participation in cultural life. She is the founder of Journées de la culture and has been the guiding force behind the program since its inception in 1997. A certified corporate director, she is vice-president of the board at Université du Québec à Montréal, and a member of the boards of directors of Place des Arts, the Fonds de recherche du Québec-Société et Culture, and, since 2014, the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. In 2011, she was made a member of the Order of Canada.
