Future Stars' Grand Premiere
Future Stars’ Grand Premiere
Created in 2011, the Future Stars’ Grand Premiere is a unique annual benefit night organized by the Fondation de la Place des Arts to raise funds to support awareness, educational and creative projects initiated by Place des Arts while giving talented young artists the opportunity to perform on the prestigious stage of Théâtre Maisonneuve.
Thanks to the support of our partners and donors, and to the artists’ collaboration, the Future Stars’ Grand Premiere has helped the Fondation de la Place des Arts to raise more than $2,5 million. Past editions of the evening’s show have been directed by renowned personalities including Gregory Charles, Alain Lefèvre, Natalie Choquette, maestro Jean-François Rivest, Christopher Hall, Angèle Dubea and maestro Alain Trudel.
The evening also provides an opportunity to invite a few hundred young people and new comers to Montreal to attend the event, free of charge. Coming from diverse backgrounds, this event is for many of them a first experience in a major performance venue and serves as an introduction to the cultural world of the performing arts in Quebec.
The eighth edition of the Future Stars’ Grand Premiere will take place on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, in Théâtre Maisonneuve, at Place des Arts and will be under the artistic direction of Mr. Philippe Fehmiu, a radio presenter who is passionate about the arts and world music.
The show, which will focus on artistic and cultural diversity, will be preceded by a buffet cocktail reception orchestrated by Chef Normand Laprise with the participation of well-known Montreal restaurants: Au Pied de Cochon, Joe Beef, Place Deschamps and Restaurant Toqué!.
