War has tragic consequences both for those who wage them and those who endure them. During the Second World War, millions of soldiers and civilians found solace and hope in music of the time, the music of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, and others. Songs like We’ll meet again, Run Rabbit Run and Lili Marlene provided the soundtrack for love and war during those dark years.
