The Soloist Series, which defines the next five concerts of the Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal, aims at the same time to present contemporary artistic creation in jazz orchestral music, as well as to serve and promote the best musicians from the greater Montreal musical community.
This first concert of the Soloist Series will be devoted to the presentation of the doctoral work of our conductor and composer Jean-Nicolas Trottier, the orchestral suite Tales from Within.
Lyricism is the primary character I wanted to give to this suite for large jazz ensembles. Throughout the composition process.
