This fifth concert in the Soloist Series welcomes conductor and saxophonist Christine Jensen to present an evening of music based on the concept of an Equal = Orchestra, a musical collaboration of like-minded, inclusive musicians from Toronto and Montreal featuring their own musical and artistic voices.
Under the auspices of the Orchestre national de Jazz de Montréal, Christine Jensen has assembled an ensemble that sounds and looks like what we see and hear as we walk the streets where we live. For this evening of musical celebration, the ensemble will present a selection of Jensen's original compositions, as well as works by guest composers Tara Davidson and Marianne Trudel.
