Go outside on the Esplanade on your lunch break and dance among professional artists. Midis dansés features a series of six 45-minute free dance workshops, adapted to all levels and free. A public performance will conclude the series.

Bhangra is a festive Indian dance form originally performed by farmers to celebrate a good harvest. The same spirit of celebration and raw energy can be felt in any Power Bhangra experience.

Montréal’s official Bhangra group – Power Bhangra – is led by Harshjot Nijher. He learned this high-spirited joyful dance at the age of 9 and is still pursuing his passion for it.

ON THE PROGRAM

Led by Harshjot Nijher, Indian dance specialist, this workshop offers:
● Introduction to dancing - 45 minutes
● 15-minute public performance at the Esplanade, Wednesday, September 25, at 12:30 p.m.
