The Festival L'Art en soi, presented by Place des Arts, offers six evenings of dancing to introduce you to different dance styles, as well as two family days on its outdoor Esplanade! Dance evenings start with an optional 1-hour workshop during which you will learn the basic steps of the featured dance; the Esplanade will then be transformed into a huge dancefloor, with a musical performance. It’s free! Reservation required.

Next, the spotlight shines on this highly energetic, thrillingly rhythmic dance style—a true delight for the senses! This evening is a must for anyone who loves to move, dance, and vibrate—which you’ll get to do under the guidance of dancer Cindy Belotte, accompanied by the members of the Mapou Ginen troupe, and carried along by the sounds of the six musicians and two singers of Rara Soley.
