In accordance with government directives, Place des Arts has suspended its activities until further notice. These measures have been put into effect due to circumstances relating to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic which are beyond our control. Consequently, the Inclusive art: Models and Practices in Quebec and in Scotland conversation has been cancelled.
Organizations and stakeholders in the professional arts milieu devote their practice to projects involving people with special needs. What are the benefits of these initiatives, both for the participants and for society? What means must we use to increase public awareness of these realities, change perceptions, and thereby dispel unease? On the occasion of the Printemps écossais and the presentation of Four Go Wild in Wellies by the Scottish company Indepen-dance, Place des Arts is calling on people to reflect on these questions, while highlighting practices and models that exist in Quebec and in Scotland.
